St Gemma's Hospice

Based in Leeds, St Gemma’s is the largest hospice in Yorkshire and one of the largest in the UK. Offering free-of-charge expert care and support for local people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, St Gemma’s pride themselves on providing high quality palliative care, educational resources and research support for their County and region. It is crucial that St Gemma’s raise over £6M per year in order to keep their services running and we are so proud to be able to help them to do this.

Their flowers could be purchased for a suggested minimum donation of £30 from their website. All proceeds made through the sale of these flowers goes straight back into the hospice so that they can continue to do all of their important care work in and around Leeds.

In December of 2018, they awarded us with a certificate of recognition for all of our support.

In 2018, as part of our ‘Forget Me Not’ metal flowers campaign, we supplied St Gemma’s with 750 purple flowers and 1,200 white flowers, all inspired by their branding colours. Our ‘Forget Me Not’ campaign involves the creation of carefully hand-painted metal flowers which aim to immortalise the memory of lost loved ones.

St Gemma’s decided to name their appeal ‘Forever Flowers’ due to the everlasting nature of the metal forget me nots.

St Mary's Birmingham

Situated in Birmingham, St Mary’s provide dedicated, personalised and completely free support across the Birmingham and Sandwell area. Every day, St Mary’s Hospice support an average of 400 individuals living with a life-limiting illness.  Their expert team are always on hand to provide the very best care in patient’s homes, community clinics and at the hospice itself. They also dedicate time to helping patient’s families in any way that they can.

St Mary forget me not

As part of the second campaign a further 2,000 of these charming metal flowers were created, but this time in dark pink and white to match St Mary’s new branding colours. These new blooms were ‘planted’ in Birmingham City Centre (Brindley Place) as a visual tribute to all of those lost, truly capturing the hearts of Birmingham’s residents.

In 2019, St Mary’s celebrated their 40th Anniversary. This truly special year saw the creation of more dark pink flowers alongside a limited edition ‘40th’ run of polished copper forget me nots. Throughout the year, these new flower creations featured in various ‘pop-up’ floral displays across the city including St Paul’s Church, Harborne High Street, St Philip’s Place, Bourneville Green, All Saint’s Square, and Northfield Shopping Centre.

St Mary Forget Me Not

Suggesting a donation of £25 per pink flower and £40 per limited edition copper flower, St Mary’s campaign aimed to pay tribute to each and every loved one lost. These flowers are a beautiful memory of those special to us by not only paying homage to their lives, but also highlighting the fantastic work that St Mary’s do for their community. Through both campaigns, we helped the hospice to raise in excess of £88,000!

To thank us for all of our help over the years, St Mary’s awarded us with a unique certificate of appreciation.
